Hadnott-Mims-Davis Plantation House
Known today as Plantation House, a Bed and Breakfast establishment Constructed circa 1840, this stately two-story, rectangular frame massed plan Federal Period residence was the home of Autauga County Historian, Shadrach Mims. The home has a central gabled portico supported by simple square full-height columns. The 5 bay front with central double leaf entrance is topped by a semi-elliptical transom and sidelights; 9:6 sashing. The home was built by W. S. Hadnott on land bought from the State in 1837. In 1859, Hadnott's heirs sold the place to Shadrach Mims. After Mims' death, the place fell into the hands of his son-in-law, E. M. Davis.
