Billy Johnson Place
The Billy Johnson Place has been painstakingly restored by present owners, Benjamin and Faye Gibbons on property that has remained in the same Autauga County family since the 1840s. Benjamin is the grand nephew of the builder. The Billy Johnson Place, located at the junction of State Highway 143 and County Road 111 in Pine Flat, was added to the Alabama Register in 1992. This circa 1888 frame hip roofed cottage is a fine example of Victorian architecture. The place also contains several significant dependencies, including a late 19th Century frame dogtrot double pen servant house, a smokehouse, a hen house, a well house and a circa 1880s log barn built of logs re-used from an earlier dwelling.
